Open house at Nefrosovet – RuMed’s new multi-field medical center

An open house at Nefrosovet – RuMed’s new multi-field medical center was held on July 5, 2017, in Kirov, Russia.

A private-public partnership project is currently underway on the base of Kirov Regional State Budgetary Healthcare Institution “Kirov Regional Hospital”. It involves building an innovative medical center that will provide nephrology, endocrinology, urology care and cardiovascular surgery to residents of the Kirov region completely free of charge using funds from compulsory health insurance. CRRT service is being set up for AKI patients in ICU. A modern outpatient clinic capable of providing services to over 30,000 people is also being built.

The Kirov region authorities and the following top health-care specialists participated in the event:

  • Professor E.M. Shilov, DMedSci., head independent nephrologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, President of the Nephrology Association of Russia;
  • Professor I.V. Molchanov, DMedSci., head independent anesthesiologist and resuscitation specialist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation;
  • E.V. Shutov, DMedSci., Vice President of the Moscow Nephrology Association, Professor of the Department of Nephrology and Hemodialysis at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education;
  • V.M. Yermolenko, DMedSci., Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology and Hemodialysis at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education;
  • Professor I.V. Nesterenko, DMedSci., Surgeon and Transplantologist at the Hematological Research Center of the Ministry of Healthcare of the RF.
  • Representatives of Nefrosovet, as well as the local and regional media, were also in attendance.


Repair and construction work is currently being completed at the site and Nefrosovet’s hemodialysis unit is once again providing free nephrological care to everyone who needs renal replacement therapy. Moreover, an investor applied for a medical license to start admitting his first patients in other fields of medicine by already this fall.
